A discussion surrounding the new report, Iraq: A roadmap for recovery, which outlines some of the most important discussions, findings, and recommendations of the recently convened US-Europe-Iraq Track II Dialogue.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Atlantic Council’s Iraq Initiative, with support from DT Institute, convened a US-Europe-Iraq Track II Dialogue beginning in March 2020 and continued through virtual venues through December 2020. New fellows will contribute to the Atlantic Council’s leading work on security, human rights, and economic development in the Middle East
Washington, DC February 8, 2021 The Atlantic Council’s Middle East Programs announced today the addition of four nonresident fellows: 
Abdulrahman al-Masri, a Middle East analyst with expertise in security, civil-military relations, authoritarianism, ethnic conflict, and foreign and defense policy.
David Daoud, a research analyst on Hezbollah and Lebanon. Daoud previously worked as a staff member on Capitol Hill advising on matters related to the Middle East, Israel, Lebanon, and Hezbollah. ....

Iraq massacre survivors shocked as Trump pardons Blackwater guards

Iraqis were bitterly disappointed on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump pardoned four Blackwater security guards given lengthy sentences for killing 14 civilians in Baghdad in 2007.
Hassan Jabir, a survivor of the 2007 Nisour Square massacre in the country s capital, relived the horror of the moment he was shot.
