Thursday, 11 March 2021 The Atlantic Endeavor crew transfer vessel (CTV), owned and operated by Atlantic Wind Transfers, America’s first CTV operator, has recently been delivered by UK vessel designer Chartwell Marine to support Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) pilot wind farm. The company used data-driven analytics to foster an open and collaborative process with Atlantic Wind Transfers and US commercial boat builder Blount Boats & Shipyard in Rhode Island. Atlantic Endeavor (Photo: Atlantic Wind Transfers) U.S. offshore wind crew transfer company Atlantic Wind Transfers (AWT) said its second Jones Act crew transfer vessel (CTV) Atlantic Endeavor was launched at the end of December. Designed by U.K. firm Chartwell Marine and built by Blount Boats in Warren, R.I., the new aluminum catamaran spent three days undergoing sea trials and U.S. Coast Guard inspections prior to deliver to Dominion Energy to support its two-turbine Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm (CVOW) pilot project 27-miles off Virginia Beach. The 64.9-foot wind farm support vessel will be based out of Virginia’s Hampton Roads region under AWT s long-term O&M CTV contract with Dominion Energy for CVOW project support. Manned by a crew of two or three, Atlantic Endeavor has capacity to transport up to 24 wind farm technicians. ....
Crowther v Crowther & Ors [2020] EWHC 3555 (Fam) Successful application for indemnity costs on preliminary issues in financial remedy proceedings when allegations of fraud and conspiracy were withdrawn and claims discontinued shortly before the trial. Mr Crowther applied for Mrs Crowther to pay his costs of preliminary issues on an indemnity basis. There had been highly acrimonious and litigious financial remedy proceedings since late 2019. Mr and Mrs Crowther had run a successful shipping business. Mrs Crowther obtained a freezing injunction against Mr Crowther and the second to sixth respondents ( the Castle parties). The freezing injunction was discharged but reinstated by the Court of Appeal. She alleged she and Mr Crowther were the beneficial owners of 5 ships worth approximately £7-10million. ....
