The year 2020 began with great promise and expectation for dance teacher Michelle Pieterse.
Her dance classes were jam-packed with eager students who were painstakingly training and preparing for months, for a much-anticipated World Dance Challenge Finals in Portugal.
Pieterse, the owner of the Michelle Leibrandt School of Dance studio, in Wonderboom, Pretoria, was incredibly excited for the European journey too, having worked endlessly with her students to get them prepared for one of the most exciting dance competitions in the world.
Within days of jumping on a plane to Portugal however, Pieterse and her students dreams came crashing down as the Covid-19 pandemic put a halt to everything. ....

University Health reached a milestone in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic by drawing up the 100,000th dose of the Pfizer vaccine and administered it to a person at their Wonderland Mall of the Americas vaccination site on Friday. The logistical operation of mass vaccine delivery began almost two months ago. The operation involved intense logistical challenges handling delicate vaccines at multiple sites, and to date University Health has not lost one single dose according to an official statement. University Health is seeking ways to vaccinate even more San Antonians in anticipation of an eventual increase in supply as the federal government moves closer to authorizing a third COVID-19 vaccine.
Nearly one-third of the COVID-19 vaccines in Bexar County have been administered by University Health, with the majority given to residents at its Wonderland of the Americas mass vaccination site. ....
