Recipe for disaster: Letting ATVs on Morristown roads

We recognize that not everyone may be affected the same way by the presence of all-terrain vehicles. This is our experience. My wife Cynthia and I are heading into our third year of trying to inform and educate others about what it is like to have ATV noise on your residential road, 24/7 from March through December.
First, there are many upstanding, law-abiding, and respectful ATV riders. But there are not just a few bad eggs who ruin it for everyone else. Our unfortunate experience was that there are a lot of the few bad eggs who do not care about their impact on other peoples’ lives. ....

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), every day about eight people in the U.S. are killed in crashes involving a distracted driver.  This amounts to roughly 3,000 deaths and 400,000 injuries each year from distracted driving.  About one in five of those deaths involve people outside a vehicle such as construction crews, pedestrians, cyclists, and roadside first responders which has made roadway accidents the leading cause of officer-line-of-duty deaths nationwide. ....

Special Report: The Truth About Race-Norming and Health

Malika Fair is a new mother. She’s an African American. She’s a practicing physician. And, she’s the senior director of health equity partnerships and programs at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), as well as an associate clinical professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C.
All of which gives her a pretty panoramic perspective on how Black people are treated by the healthcare system in the U.S. One common practice that deeply concerns Dr. Fair is called “race-norming,” which refers to the adjustment of medical test results or medical risk assessments based on a patient’s race. In other words, if you’re Black , you might score differently than you would if you are white with the identical or similar set of symptoms simply because of the color of your skin. ....

Wife Beating Reporter Gets a Mega-Surprise When He Goes to Write His Anti-Gun Hit Piece

Wife Beating Reporter Gets a Mega-Surprise When He Goes to Write His Anti-Gun Hit Piece
Neil Steinberg
In the wake of the Orlando massacre, Chicago Sun Times reporter Neil Steinberg, a leftist, set out to buy an “assault rifle” (AR-15) hoping to show how easy it is to do no doubt.
He couldn’t buy an “assault rifle” because he has a drinking problem and spousal abuse problems. Did the left-wing reporter learn anything from this? No, of course not. He learned that terrorists can buy guns but he can’t. However, there is a good reason for that.
His spouse might think he’s a terrorist. We should ask her or them if there is more than one wife. ....
