Man seen in Senate during Capitol riot sentenced to 8 months in prison

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) – A Florida man who was seen carrying a large red “Trump 2020” flag on the floor of the U.S. Senate during the Capitol riot was sentenced Monday to 8 months in prison.
Paul Allard Hodgkins, 38, of Tampa, was arrested February 16 after the FBI received a tip identifying him among the hundreds of people seen in Department of Justice photos and videos inside the Capitol.
He pleaded guilty in June to a single felony count of obstructing an official proceeding, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Following Monday’s proceeding, Hodgkins’ attorney, Patrick Leduc, cast a wide net of guilt and said the sentence was fair. “So I was having a hard time determining what the difference was in my mind with somebody being in the rotunda versus somebody being on the floor of the Senate, which is about a hundred feet apart. FDA ties pneumonia deaths to infant vaccine

WASHINGTON – GlaxoSmithKline Plc’s rotavirus vaccine is associated with increased pneumonia-related deaths and other adverse reactions, U.S. regulatory staff said in documents posted on Friday.
The review comes ahead of a Food and Drug Administration advisory meeting next Wednesday to consider approval of the oral vaccine to prevent the most common cause of severe diarrhea and dehydration among infants and young children in the world.
FDA staff said its analysis of 11 studies revealed that in the largest trial, there was a statistically significant increase in deaths related to pneumonia compared with placebo, documents posted on the FDA’s Web site said. ....

Stroke patients who have lose the use of their arms could find a helping hand in the form of a robotic arm that can ‘telepathically’ respond to your thoughts.
The research, led by Rice University and the University of Houston, has led to an exo-skeleton which covers the arm from fingertips to elbow and can help perform simple tasks, as well gently assisting – and sometimes resisting – movement to build strength and accuracy.
The new neurotechnology will interpret brain waves using an EEG neural interface, which can read thought patterns and assign them to movements.
