ABG takes record number of DigiLase orders

A B Graphic International (ABG) has taken a record number of orders for DigiLase 4.0 digital finishing machine in 2020 fueled by the e-commerce boom and companies substantially upscaling their output.
Launched in September 2018, ABG has installed numerous DigiLase machines, equipped with various configurations worldwide. Many orders, which include ABG’s automatic workflow and the inkjet digital embellishment module, are currently in production and due for installation in the coming months in Mexico, the USA, the Netherlands, UK, and Germany. According to the company, the growing order book in 2021 can also contribute to ABG’s another record trading year.
DigiLase 4.0 incorporates laser cutting technology, which is suitable for direct from web sticker and label production. A reduced web path and a decrease in the necessary lead-in/out material help to reduce waste. Print-Leeds has invested in the first 7-colour Screen Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S in the UK to expand the business further and launch a fourth division specializing in self-adhesive labels.
Print-Leeds is one of the largest printers of wet-glue labels in the UK, producing more than 200 million per year. However, the company has been approached by its client asking to also print self-adhesive labels digitally for shorter run productions.
