With the first meet of the season less than a month away, the Siloam Springs boys and girls cross country teams are beginning to ramp up their training.

CLIFTON PARK, NY - They may not actually by sectional games, but it sure didn t feel that way on Monday night during the Suburban Council quarterfinal matchups. The field is now set for the boy s and girl s semifinal games, which will take place on Wednesday evening.
On the boy s side of the bracket Shenendehowa defeated Colonie in their quarterfinal by a score of 67-52. Niskayuna came from behind to defeat CBA, 47-45. Shen and Niskayuna will meet in the semifinals.
Saratoga defeated Bethlehem 49-44, in a game where the Eagles came within two points of tying it up in the final minute. Troy had to most comfortable win of the day, defeated Schenectady 73-39. Saratoga and Troy will face off in their semifinal match.
Now, it feels like normal.
The two teams are set to face off for the first time in 2021 on Tuesday evening at Saratoga Springs High School.

âWe know that every time we play Shen, itâs going to be a good game, said Saratoga Head Coach Robin Chudy. Itâs gonna be competitive. They have some really talented players, we have some really talented players and we all respect each other. Itâs going to be a really good basketball game.â
During the 2019-2020 regular season, Saratoga topped Shen 57-54, in a crazy back-and-forth contest last February in a packed house at Shen, as both teams were undefeated against Section 2 opponents coming in. The win for the Blue Streaks allowed them to claim the top seed in the sectional tournament, setting the stage with Shen as the #2 for a rematch in the finals.
On campus, many buildings closed by 9:30 p.m. and students were asked to return to their dorms by 10 p.m. With the curfew now lifted, many on- and off-campus buildings and restaurants plan to remain open later.
