Hawaiian islands used to have several species of crows an they probably die diverge from those in the u. S. At least 700,000 years ago. So this is in a lot of ways a lot like the story of darwins finches where an animal arrived on, obviously, were not sure how exactly. But in very small numbers, and then species in different niches and able to survive in different habitat. But the difference is that in the case of the hawaiian crows most of the species died out after the first humans arrived, so whereas galapagos not inhabited till europeans arrived in hawaii, sea fairers arrived 1500 years ag...
