The winger won and then converted a penalty himself to secure the U’s third successive three-point haul in Sky Bet League One, which moved them to within seven points of the play-off places. Paul Smyth’s Charlton Athletic were not in action in midweek. Their fixture at Peterborough United was postponed due to an outbreak of Covid-19 cases in the Peterborough squad.
