ISLAMABAD: The water availability crisis in the country has aggravated more as the dip in water system has started appearing on the scene compelling the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) to reduce water withdrawal from the Tarbela Dam by taking the decision to release 8,000 cusecs of water per day to Sindh from May 18 under a temporary arrangement.
The water regulator has told the provinces that if the dip lasts for a week, the water shortage will go up by 25-30 per cent as the flows in water system are on the decline mainly because of lower temperature at catchment areas of Indus, Kabul, Jhelum and Chenab rivers. The IRSA, keeping in view the present water situation, has asked the provinces to utilize the available surface water in the river system efficiently by placing the rationalized indents in the future without any wastage till the normalization of the water situ ....

Developers reveal long-awaited plan for vacant lot

After more than a decade of planning, scrapping and rewriting, the city of Half Moon Bay got its first look at the latest ideas from developers for the vacant lot at the corner of Kelly Avenue and Main Street.
The cityâs Planning Commission held a study session last week to review the proposed development. It neither approved nor denied the project, which must return to city leaders for review.
The planned development consists of two mixed-use three-story buildings on the northeast corner of Main Street and Kelly Avenue. It calls for six residential units and approximately 2,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space in one of the buildings. The plan also calls for a 10-foot-wide public âpaseoâ between the two buildings to provide access from Main Street to the parking lot, which is also accessible from Johnston Street. Concerns were raised about how the buildingâs style would fit the feel of the downtown area, parking restrictions, and Americans ....

4 Alarm Fire At The Former CTC Film Developing Business
This past Wednesday, May 19, at 3:05, Bennington Police, Bennington Fire and Bennington Rescue were dispatched to a report of a structure fire located at 254 Benmont Avenue Bennington, Vermont.
This is the location of the former CTC Film Developing business and is currently unoccupied. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and confirmed the building was a fully involved structure fire.
This structure was quickly upgraded to a four-alarm fire, requesting mutual aid from; Bennington Rural Fire Department, North Bennington Fire Department, North Hoosick Fire Department, Hoosick Falls Fire Department, and Pownal Fire Department.
