Blood donation camps arranged in Swat July 27, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Frontier Foundation Hematology Services arranged camps in various areas of Swat district to collect blood donations for the children suffering from thalassemia, haemophilia and other blood-related disorders.The camps were held in Khwazakhela, Manyar, Kalkot, Kanju and other areas where several bags of blood were collected, said a press release here on Monday. The Frontier Foundation team comprising Ijaz Alam, Dr Amjad Iqbal, medical technician Zakirullah and assistant Suleman Pervez supervised the camps.Social figures of different areas, including Jahan Alam, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Adeel, Farman Ali, Haji Khalid, Javed Khan and others collaborated with the Frontier Foundation team in holding successful blood donation camps. ....

ISLAMABAD: Two people died after battling with Covid-19 in the capital on Thursday and 62 people were diagnosed with the disease. During the last 24 hours 3,682 tests were conducted and the positivity rate was 1.6pc. As many as 140 patients reportedly recovered from the virus. Officials of the capital administration said that the deceased, both female patients, were from the 50-89 age group. Both were residents of I-9 and B-17, they added. There are 2,687 active cases in the city, they added. Rawalpindi One person succumbed to Covid-19 in the district on Thursday and 26 people were diagnosed with the disease whereas 27 people were discharged from hospitals after recovering. ....
