JAMMU, Jan 18: Cluster University of Jammu lifted title trophy of 19th Annual Verranna Aivalli Memorial Trophy, organised Indian Institute of Public Administration J&K Regional Branch and J&K Police in collaboration with Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu on the topic, “ In the opinion of the house, Virtual Model is a poor substitute for classroom learning”, here today.
A total of 27 teams from various affiliated colleges and university participated in the competition.
The team from Cluster University comprising of Aryan Senand Shrenya lifted the VeerannaAivalli Running team trophy, whereas the first prize was won by Anmol Sharma from GDC Bishnah; Saskshi Bhat of GCET Jammu bagged second prize and Sarthika from Cluster University won the third prize. In a landmark decision, University of Jammu inked Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Racemix Molecules Pvt. Ltd, Gurugram, Haryana, India (A subsidiary of Anphar Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Jammu). Anphar Laboratories Pvt Ltd. is engaged in the manufacturing and export of bulk drugs. JU created Industry Academia Partnership Centre (IAPC) under RUSA 2.0 to build industry-academia partnership and to inculcate industry based skills in the students and researchers of the University. For realizing these objectives, JU has entered into collaboration with Racemix; the latter will provide skill based training at JU and its affiliated colleges. Further, emphasis will be laid on developing process for drugs and intermediates which are imported from other countries.
