More than 2 million people in Wisconsin will become eligible for the vaccines on Monday.
The next group includes people with a broad range of medical conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity as well as those who are overweight. The medical conditions put them at a higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
Restaurants workers, clergy and judges, prosecutors and others who work in the criminal court system also now are eligible for the vaccines.
Everyone 16 and older in Wisconsin is expected to be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine by May 1.
The approval of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will speed the rollout. But the state is not expected to receive regular shipments from the company until next month.
