On International Women s Day, the Comet has compiled a round up of just some of the inspirational women we ve spoke to over the last year.
While the coronavirus pandemic presented challenges for most, it has also provided opportunities for many to get stuck into volunteering roles and charity challenges.
One woman s life completely changed during the course of 2020. Caroline Coster from Henlow sadly had her hands and feet amputated after developing sepsis in hospital - having already been diagnosed with COVID-19.  ....

Baldock's Alexandra Milne named in New Year's Honours

Baldock s Alexandra Milne has been recognised for her work during the coronavirus pandemic.

A Baldock woman has been recognised for her services to the emergency incident response to COVID-19 in London. 
Alexandra Milne, staff commander for the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry, has been awarded a MBE in the New Year s Honours list. 
She joined the Corps on a voluntary basis in 2001 and attained the part-time position of Operations Officer in 2009.  According to her nomination, she has been instrumental in modernising the Corps, transforming it into a more efficient and professional organisation.  ....
