Investigation into 911 protocols at the Atlanta Airport


The busiest airport in the nation has no protocol for providing CPR instructions to 911 callers during life-and-death medical emergencies.
Before COVID-19, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was the busiest in the world. That’s one reason the airport has its own dedicated 911 center. Calls from the airport are answered by multiple 911 centers in four cities and two counties, but all have a policy of transferring those calls to the airport’s Centralized Command and Control Center, or C4.

Commissioners hear 911 update during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

Highland County commissioners Jeff Duncan, Terry Britton and David Daniels met with Highland County 911 coordinator Scott Miller and Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera Wednesday in recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
The annual observance is recognized April 11-17 this year. Honor Chaffee County's 911 professionals this week | News


Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center’s office is celebrating Public Safety Telecommunicators week April 11 through 17. 
Communications specialists answer all 911 calls and non-emergency calls for law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services in Chaffee County.
Together they represent 180 years of emergency communications experience and this is just with Chaffee County. 
The most tenured employee has 39 years and the newest employee has one week on the job.
Three of the employees worked for other emergency communications centers before being employed by Chaffee County and several came from other areas of emergency service. 
The emergency communications center operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  ....

A BRADFORD Councillor was chosen to introduce Sir Keir Starmer for the launch of Labour s election campaign.
Cllr Aneela Ahmed (City, Labour) took to the virtual podium today and spoke about her experiences as a frontline worker during the pandemic.
Cllr Ahmed works as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher for Yorkshire Ambulance Service, handling 999 calls at the Trust’s Wakefield Emergency Operations Centre. 
Giving her backing to the leader, Cllr Ahmed claimed the controversial one per cent pay rise for NHS workers had left many feeling forgotten .
Speaking before the launch, she said: As a frontline worker the past year has been really tough. I ve seen the awful impact of this pandemic day in, day out. ....
