The Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the United Kingdom Embassy to the State of Qatar, in the framework of celebrating International Women’s Day, organized a seminar on “Empowering women in the political and diplomatic field,” to increase awareness of the important roles that women can play during their work in the political and diplomatic fields.

Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met yesterday at his office with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the State of Qatar H E Dr. Claudius Fischbach, Ambassador of the United Kingdom H E Jonathan Wilks, and Ambassador of the French Republic, H E Franck Gellet, which are the European countries party to the nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The Qatar-UK joint committee to combat terrorism held on Tuesday its first meeting via video conference, in the framework of the cooperation between the two sides in this field. The meeting was co-chaired by Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the National Counter Terrorism Committee Maj. Gen. Eng.
