Mohali-based startup Walnut Medical has developed 5L and 10L portable medical grade oxygen concentrators based on pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology in India with an oxygen purity of above 96 per cent at a pressure of 55-75 kpa.
The company was supported by CAWACH 2020 grant of the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), and they developed the world-class Oxygen Concentrator in a year to reduce dependence on imports.
The oxygen concentrators are tested for patient safety, electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and as per International Safety Standards for oxygen concentrators. The complete mould design, development of all electronics, moulding, control system, sie ....

American Telugu Association, a burgeoning Telugu organization on its altruistic mission of displaying passion for humanity, donated 400 oxygen concentrator units to the government hospitals and to the people of AP and Telangana states as part of its COVID-19 disaster relief efforts.
In a press release President Bhuvanesh Boojala quoted that Our thoughts and prayers are with India. ATA has sent 400 Oxygen Concentrators to both the Telugu states as of now. More help is on the way . ....

The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, stayed a Delhi High Court verdict, which declared the levy of Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) on oxygen concentrators imported for personal use or as a gift as a violation of the fundamental right to life.
A Bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah issued formal notice on an appeal filed by the Ministry of Finance that the High Court encroached into policy by quashing the May 1 notification, which had imposed 12 per cent IGST on concentrators imported for private use or as a gift. ....
