Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce offers 100 free memberships for small businesses, professionals
Asian-owned small businesses will be given an opportunity to gain free access to resources to boost their success.
General Motors is partnering with Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC) by providing 100 free APACC memberships to American Pacific Islander small businesses and individual professionals.
The memberships will give these businesses and individuals access to workshops, webinars and other resources to expand their knowledge on a variety of topics from tax breaks to how laws impact their business. ....

In light of AAPI Heritage Month, the Asian/Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (National ACE) has joined forces with House of Suntory brand to produce a docuseries that spotlights Asian-American talents who have exceeded conventional expectations to redefine their own Asian-American narratives.
The docuseries came into fruition after the National ACE conducted a survey which found that 66 percent of AAPI small business owners remain optimistic for the future. Inspired by this AAPI Heritage Month, the organization hopes to shift the narrative from hate to hope by sharing inspiring stories of Asian-American entrepreneurs in the community.
Los-Angeles based and famed single-needle tattoo artist Dr. Woo joins the docuseries and opens up about his heritage and his success in the two-part documentary. Woo talks about perfecting his craft as an artist but most importantly touches on defying conventional expectations and redefining his own Asian-American id ....

On March 16, eight people were murdered in Atlanta, six of whom were Asian American women—Hyun Jung Grant, 51, Soon Chung Park, 74, Suncha Kim, 69, Yong Ae Yue, 63, Xiaojie Tan, 49, Daoyou Feng, 44, Paul Andre Michels, 54, and Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33. This was a hate crime against the Asian American community.
Harassment and violence against Asian Americans has increased significantly over the past year nationwide with Stop AAPI Hate gathering reports of 3,795 hate incidents , and Oregon is no exception. It was founded as a whites-only state, with racial exclusionary laws that made it difficult for people of color to live in Oregon well into the 20th century. Then there were the U.S’s Chinese Exclusion Acts—which especially targeted Asian women who were suspected to be sex workers. Today, AAPI citizens make up 4 percent of Oregon’s electorate, and the state has seen an 86 percent growth rate in AAPI’s population since 2000. ....
