WIMBLEDON, England Novak Djokovic has the opportunity to make history many times over at the All-England Club in the coming two weeks.
Djokovic, a five-time Wimbledon champion, is vying for a third straight title. He won the tournament in both 2018 and 2019 before last year’s edition was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. ....

Ausgerechnet am Abend der Wimbledon-Auslosung beraumten Novak Djokovic und Vasek Pospisil am Freitag eine einstündige Online-Videokonferenz an, die einen bedrohlichen Unterton hatte. Die von ihnen gegründete Spielergewerkschaft Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) möchte sich bei den führenden Gremien endlich Gehör verschaffen. Bevor die ATP, ihr wichtigster Gegenspieler, einen 30-Jahre-Plan absegnet, der die Medienrechte neu regelt und für höhere Preisgelder sorgen soll.
«Verschiebt die Abstimmung»
Das will die PTPA unbedingt verhindern. «Verschiebt die Abstimmung», lautet ihr Slogan, zudem kündete sie «30 Fragen an die ATP» an. Der Führung der ATP-Tour werden Mauscheleien, Undurchsichtigkeit und ein überstürztes Vorgehen vorgeworfen. «Sie hetzen durch eine Abstimmung in einem Hinterzimmer-Deal, bei dem die Spieler keinen richtigen Input haben», stipulierte die PTPA. Nur «wenige Auserwählte» würden ....

这才是影响力～PTPA取得阶段性重大胜利 - 网球场

今年温网开战前几天，职业网球运动员协会(PTPA)又回到了聚光灯下，德约发声明任命过去15年为美国冰球联盟球员协会动作的亚当-拉里为执行董事，还聘请多位成员进入顾问委员会，征战马洛卡公开赛的德约对PTPA新成员表达感谢，感谢他们为了网球运动的更大利益做出贡献。

“创建一个单独的球员组织，这分裂了球员，并进一步分裂了这项运动，‘碎片化’是网球发展过程中受到的最大威胁。”ATP发声明抨击了德约搞分裂的行为，而德约表示在男单500强和双打150强中，75%以上的球员都是PPTA球员。
ATP在声明中还表示：“自1972年ATP成立以来，保护和促进球员的利益一直是ATP的核心原则，1990年ATP巡回赛(ATP Tour)的成立以后更是如此，运动员们在巡回赛有平等的发言权，将继续尽我们所能保护我们成员的利益。”
也许是为了打击PTPA， ....
