And ecstatic Lautoka Hospital consultant anaesthetist Dr Mara Vukivukiseru, the first Fijian in-country to receive the jab described the experience as “the first beautiful step in the right direction”. Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said no Fijian would pay for the vaccine because Government had set aside $75 million to ensure Fiji keeps receiving regular doses.
