Teresa D. Underwood
The Pima County Consolidated Justice Court has appointed Teresa D. Underwood as a court administrator, with responsibilities of overseeing the non-judicial operations of PCCJC. 
Underwood previously served as Chief Executive/Clerk of Court of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio, where she oversaw the day-to-day administrative operations and non-judicial functions for the Howard M. Metzenbaum US Courthouse in Cleveland. Underwood joined the bankruptcy court as a Supervisor in 2003, was promoted to Operations Manager in 2004, and Chief of Staff in 2013. Finally, she became its Chief Executive in 2017.
“We’re excited to have Ms. Underwood join us as PCCJC administrator,” said Pima County Presiding Judge Kyle Bryson. “She brings a wealth of experience and will be a dynamic administrative leader for this important court.” ....

ARIZONA Several Arizona hospitals received top safety marks while others didn’t quite measure up in The Leapfrog Group’s annual spring safety grades released Thursday.
The nonprofit health care watchdog group grades hospitals twice a year, assigning letter grades from “A” to “F” based on each hospital s ability to protect patients from preventable errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
More than 2,700 general, acute-care U.S. hospitals were assessed for Leapfrog’s Spring Safety Grades. Among those hospitals, 27 have achieved 19 consecutive “A” grades in every biannual grading cycle since Leapfrog launched the safety grades in spring 2012. ....

While Arizona’s COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations have declined significantly from their peaks, health experts warn that the pandemic “is still not under control” in the state.
“It s still bad. I want to be clear on that.” Dr. Murtaza Akhter, assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix told Yahoo Finance Live. “They were really, really, really terrible a couple weeks ago and now they re only really, really terrible.”
Arizona reported 4,381 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday that’s a 75% drop from its record high of 17,234 on Jan. 3 but still the fifth highest nationwide. The state’s hospitalization rate is also trending lower. According to the COVID Tracking Project, 2,744 people were hospitalized in Arizona for COVID-19 on Tuesday, down nearly 50% from a record of 5,08 ....
