FITE TV/TrillerVerz It didn’t feel look too many people were in the Hulu Theater to see the boxing portion of TrillerVerz, but Michael Hunter and Chris Algieri both took care of business in one-sided fashion as the new series premiered. Hunter improved to 20-1-1 (14 KO) by dominating Mike Wilson in their heavyweight main event, scoring a knockdown and stoppage in the fourth round. The 33-year-old Hunter was never really tested at all by Wilson (21-2, 10 KO), who was once a top American amateur but is now 38 and has been a club fighter in his professional career, save for a loss to Denis Lebedev in 2018. ....
Demetrius Andrade overcame mandatory challenger Liam Williams to retain his WBO Middleweight title in Miami on Saturday Photo Credit: Ed Mulholland/Matchroom Demetrius Andrade overcame the stern challenge of Liam Williams, as the Rhode Island native defended his WBO Middleweight title by dropping ‘The Machine’ in the second round on the way to a wide win on the scorecards at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday. It was the fourth defence of the belt that Andrade (30-0, 18 KOs) won back in October 2018, and he was facing his mandatory challenger in Williams (23-3-1, 18 KOs). Andrade made a quick start and began with intent, and a flurry of punches followed by an overhand left buzzed Williams as early as the first minute of the contest. ....
Jake Paul s fledgling boxing career started out by fighting one of his own. Last January, Paul made his pro debut against Ali Al Fakri, better known as AnEsonGib, a fellow YouTuber who was more than happy to partake in the spectacle. Paul needed 258 seconds to win via stoppage. Paul went from fighting a YouTuber to a former pro athlete ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and has now upgraded to an actual combat fighter. This Saturday, Paul will face former MMA fighter Ben Askren in Atlanta in a Triller pay-per-view event. Last week a woman accused Paul of sexually assaulting her in 2019. Paul released a statement on Tuesday denying the claim. ....

Since those defeats to the Liverpudlian, ‘The Machine’ has had seven wins on the spin, and has paired winning and defending the British title, with ranking building wins with the governing bodies against decent opposition. ....
