Vendors who paid deposits for stalls at an Auckland wedding fair are fuming after it was postponed for more than a year with no clear answer from the organiser about when - or if - it will run. ....

Western Native Voice hosts clothing drive

BILLINGS - The non-profit, Western Native Voice, is organizing a clothing drive at the First Congregational Church downtown.
The organization is accepting new or gently used clothes and will donate everything to members of the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Reservations.
If you re interested in donating, all you have to do is pull up in your vehicle to the marked area in front of the church and drop off your items. Program Director Abdel Russell says they will accept recently washed or dry cleaned clothes in labeled plastic bags.
We re primarily targeting needy families on the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Russell said. We have community organizers there.Â It s a small rural area so everybody knows everybody, and we re trying to target those people who need it. ....

A group of New Zealand s most passionate vintage car enthusiasts are en route to Whanganui ahead of the Riley Car Club Annual Rally, with the organiser hopeful the public will get behind the event.
Held annually since 1960, the rally sees Riley enthusiasts from across the nation converge in a city somewhere in New Zealand, alternated between the North and South Islands.
This year Whanganui was chosen for the March 12-17 event - the first time the city has hosted the group since the 1981 rally. ....

Women's History Month program to highlight local women in public office

In a state where there are roughly 95 men for every 100 women, there is only one female on the Johnson City Commissionâs five-member board.
Commissioner Jenny Brock highlighted that detail at the bodyâs regular meeting on March 4, during which the city issued a proclamation recognizing March as Womenâs History Month.
âAs particularly our young daughters and grandchildren move into the world theyâre going to experience, we need to see more leadership,â Brock said. âIn my last two years of serving on the commission I am going to promote that and try to encourage and mentor women in this community to run for office.â ....
