Ferro-Alloy Resources Ltd (LON:FAR) shares were boosted as it banked investment from Vision Blue Resources, named its next chairman and provided an update on its Balausa vanadium concentrate project in Kazakhstan.
Vision Blue has made a US$1.6mln investment in the company, taking its total investment US$3.1mln.
Sir Mick Davis has been appointed as chairman, due to start after June 3. The company noted that Davis was formerly head of Xstrata Alloys, one of the world’s largest vanadium producers.
Metal Tiger makes fresh investment in copper-gold explorer Artemis Resources
The proceeds of the A$7mln Artemis share placing are earmarked for exploration drilling in the Pilbara region of Australia.
Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR) has made a fresh investment in Aussie copper-gold explorer Artemis Resources Limited (ASX:ARV), participating a well supported share placing.
The AIM-quoted firm has subscribed for 12.5mln shares in the Artemis placing, which was priced at 6 Australian cents per share. The A$750,000 investment increasing Metal Tiger’s Artemis shareholding to 14.35mln shares, or 1.15% of the company.
Metal Tiger noted that the Artemis funding saw strong demand from institutional investors.

Artemis Resources drafts in Taylor Collison, Bells for raising

ASX-listed gold/copper explorer Artemis Resources is on the hunt for a cash injection to ramp up drilling activities at its Western Australian resources projects.
ASX-listed gold/copper play Artemis Resources was sounding out funds for a capital raising over the weekend.
Sources told Street Talk Artemis had Taylor Collison and Bell Potter sounding out small cap resources funds for a $10 million funding round over the weekend, which was expected to launch as early as Monday morning.
The brokers were talking to funds about a placement priced at 10¢ a share, above the company’s 9.6¢ last close and a 6.7 per cent discount to its five-day volume weighted average price.
