Of the 16 mills, five have been closed down in the last four days mainly due to raw material crisis. We have apprehension that another 10 units may announce the closure of operations in the next few days, an official of Indian Jute Mills Association told .

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case was a story of “fraud” of about Rs1.2 billion, which he claimed was “bigger than the Panama Papers case”.
Chaudhry, in a series of tweets, shed light on the case a day after he announced the government had ordered the investigation into the case be reopened.
The minister tweeted that the case began in the year 2000 when the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed the reference. Fawad alleged former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hasan and Hussain, Shahbaz Sharif and his political heir Hamza Shahbaz “were also its main characters”. ....

KARACHI: The Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has said that keeping in view the Covid-19 situation in the country, especially in Sindh, his government would intervene to make both the units of oxygen at Pakistan Steel Mills operational at the cost of Rs 1 billion.
“We are passing through a very serious situation; therefore, we have to be prepared to face any emergency,” Murad Ali Shah said while speaking to senior doctors and leading physicians at the CM House on Tuesday. NEW DELHI: New Zealand cricketers involved in the now suspended IPL, including captain Kane Williamson, are likely to remain in India at least till May 10 before flying to England for national duty, their players union chief said on Wednesday.
The remaining players as well as the support staff in various IPL teams and commentators could return home by charter flights arrange by the franchises, New Zealand Cricket Players Association head Heath Mills said.
Mills is expecting a revision in the travel restrictions for incoming travellers from India by the British government. ....
