Leftist Protesters Accidently Set Comrade on Fire During Demonstration 18 Apr 2021 A demonstrator at a protest in the Greek city of Thessaloniki was accidentally set on fire after far-left anarchists hit him in the leg with a Molotov cocktail. The incident took place earlier this week at a protest against allowing police to operate on university campuses, in which around 7,000 people participated in a march against the new law. The rally started peacefully but developed into riots as a group of around 100 protestors violently clashed with police, throwing various objects at officers including Molotov cocktail petrol bombs.

Far-Left Terrorist Who Inspired Violent Protests Ends Hunger Strike 14 Mar 2021 ATHENS, Greece (AP) Greek convicted terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas has ended a 66-day hunger strike that left him dangerously ill. Koufodinas, 63, who is serving 11 consecutive life sentences plus 25 years for murders he committed as the main hitman of far-left armed group November 17, had begun the hunger strike demanding to be transferred to a prison of his choice. In a statement released through his lawyer, Ioanna Kourtovik, Koufodinas thanked the “progressive people” who showed solidarity in a “fight against an inhumane power system.” Several protest marches have taken place to support Koufodinas’ demands and sympathisers have staged a series of arson and vandalism attacks in recent days. ....
Over 100 Attacks Linked to Supporters of Far-Left Greek Terrorist 14 Mar 2021 The Greek Ministry of Citizen Protection has revealed that there have been at least 101 attacks with incendiary and explosive devices, vandalism attacks, and incidents of property damage by supporters of Greek far-left terrorist Dimitris Koufontinas. As of March 9th, the ministry stated that there had been a total of 236 rallies in support of the convicted terrorist, who recently ended a 66-day hunger strike after demanding to be transferred away from his current maximum-security prison, where he is servicing multiple life sentences. According to a report from the newspaper Proto Thema, the Ministry answered a total of 42 questions on various topics, including noting that complaints against police for arbitrary use of force had increased from 69 in 2015 to 111 in 2020. ....
