Saab to supply mine neutralisation system for MMCM programme - Naval Warfare

The UK and French navies are the launch customers for the modular Multi-Shot Mine Neutralisation System.
Saab will deliver mine identification and disposal systems operated from USVs, after Thales selected the Saab Multi-Shot Mine Neutralisation System (MuMNS) for the UK/French Maritime Mine Counter Measures (MMCM) programme.
Deliveries under an SEK300 million ($36.5 million) order will take place in 2022, Saab announced on 8 January. The order was placed in Q4 2020.
The UK and French navies are the launch customers for the modular MuMNS.
‘It’s a great success to deliver capabilities that enable these navies to perform safer and more efficient Mine Countermeasures operations, since the operator can neutralise multiple sea mines from a safe distance,’ said Görgen Johansson, head of the Saab Dynamics business area. ....

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) completed the first Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) High Frequency (HF) Command and Control (C2) demonstration for an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) using its MQ-9 drone.
The HF C2 capability does not require a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) link and is capable of providing BLOS connectivity up to 8,000 miles, depending on transmit power and link geometry.
For the demo, GA-ASI integrated the U.S. Government’s Collaborative Operations in Denied Environment (CODE) autonomy software into the Open Operational Flight Profile (OFP) of an MQ-9A Block 5 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) and flew the MQ-9 using improved diagonal tails with conformal HF antennas incorporated into the leading edges. ....
