Photo - Victor Brown - Internationals young writer, West Indies
The international young writers commenced a new era in 2021 in becoming separate to Press Service International in Australia in their being published in Christian Today.
Way back in 2012 international young writers were welcomed into the young writer program with Christian Today and leading to 2018 where a program known as ‘Stand Alone’ developed where the internationals ‘stood alone’.
Over these past three years the ‘Stand Alone’ philosophy led by Jason Lalone in Chicago US  -  the articles for the following publishing week would be collated from the editors and then forwarded to Christian Today. ....

WWII truths apply today

Some truths apply in any era. I have here pulled an older article and rewritten it for 2021. There is much to learn from events 80 years ago even if a sitcom.
The 1970 s Dad s Army British television hit series has many telling lines, not least the very first program titled The Man and the Hour where the opening scene has a post war function celebrating the launch of the Back Britain campaign.
The guest of honour is the indubitable Captain George Mainwaring introduced by his trustworthy Sargent and Chief Clerk at Swallow Bank Arthur Wilson. Captain Mainwaring in responding to such an introduction said that he has always backed Britain and harked back to 1940 when the Home Guard was formed. ....

100% 'water' issues   | ChristianToday Australia

Photo – Repulse Bay, Whitsundays
This is not new. Water is the issue. It is front and centre. The science of population focus on water.
Remember way back in 2013 when the Abbott Government initiated their Sovereign Borders policy was activated and three inevitable outcomes have prevailed since, the third of which is the topic of this comment piece.
The first two outcomes of this new immigrant policy were that the boats coming from a variety of countries have largely stopped – predominately boats coming from Sri Lanka and Indonesia. The second outcome is that this Sovereign Borders policy has illustrated that the Australian Government determines who enters Australia and not the people smuggler – whether they be a syndicate or individuals out for a quick buck. ....

My book titled 'From the Driver's Seat' | ChristianToday Australia

Photo  -   From the Driver’s Seat
‘From the Driver s Seat’ was my 1989 book  – now out of print - details 14 rail journey s from the locomotive driver s perspective, an oral account of what occurs from signing on for duty to when relieved upon arrival at the destination.
Why might I write something of an account of such a book 25 years after publication and moreover, the book is out of print. This book was the fourth of 16 such railway books I wrote in that busy period from 1982-1996 and the purpose of detailing now this particular book and these books as a collective, is where the money went as a missionary. ....
