Deeming this a waste of his training in gunnery and jungle warfare, the Lieutenant wandered back to the docks and discovered the troopship

The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for a Development Cooperation Liaison and Administrative Support Officer. At least one vacancy will be filled through this process, with suitable candidates merit listed for future vacancies.
 
The Development Cooperation Liaison and Administrative Support Officer will provide support across the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh’s development cooperation program and related Policy Section activities. The Officer will also support the Embassy’s engagement with the Royal Government of Cambodia, including arranging development cooperation program site visits and events, arranging high level meetings, reporting on ODA expenditure, liaising with other development partners and coordinating aid program briefing. ....

new investigation by RFA out this week explores the multi-million dollar investments made in Australia by Cambodia’s ruling elite over the last five years. These investments appear to have been made in tandem with a campaign of intimidation orchestrated by Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) against Australia’s Cambodian community.
On Monday, RFA sat down with Julian Hill, an Australian member of parliament representing the city of Melbourne, home to the highest concentration of Cambodian-born Australians. In the interview, reproduced below, Hill blasted as “pathetic” the Australian government’s response to the millions of dollars flowing from Phnom Penh to cities like Melbourne and Sydney, labelling the Cambodian authorities a “gangster regime.” ....
