Florida Farm Bureau President John L. Hoblick is applauding Governor Ron DeSantis who signed SB 88, the historic Farming Operations bill that modernizes Florida’s Right to Farm Act.
Hoblick tells www.floridafarmbureau.org strengthening Florida’s Right to Farm law minimizes nuisance lawsuits and claims, enabling farmers to focus on the mission of providing food and remaining in business.
The Right to Farm bill will take effect July 1st.

The Government must set tougher legally-binding air pollution targets after a nine-year-old s death, a coroner has said.
Air pollution is a major issue of public health concern and there is a very clear need for action to be taken to tackle it, said Philip Barlow, Assistant Coroner for South London, in a report sent today to several government departments and the Mayor of London. ....

A new study has revealed that Māori children with asthma are hospitalised at twice the rate of non-Māori children.
The study, by the Liggins Institute at the University of Auckland, had documented from 2010 to 2019 that children living in high-deprivation areas were on average admitted to hospital 2.8 times higher than those in least-deprived areas. ....
