Limerick and Clare ETB s Local Creative Youth Partnership has launched its first Strategic Plan - one of only three national pilot programmes.
The plan identifies specific groups of young people to be prioritised in the establishment of creative programmes across Limerick and Clare.
This includes young people living in communities of socio-economic disadvantage, those living with a disability, migrant young people and those living in remote, rural communities, with immediate focus on communities in the Loop Head Peninsula, West Limerick and Direct Provision centres.
Limerick Youth Service, Clare Youth Service, Foróige, scouting groups and community and family resource centres are key collaborators to the project, as are Arts and cultural bodies across both counties. ....

Twenty-one people - 17 males and four females - have been arrested in connection with public order offences and breaches of Covid-19 legislation in Dublin.
Fourteen people appeared before a sitting of Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening. Seven were charged and released on station bail.
Gardaí say the vast majority of people are complying with the regulations, and added that overwhelming levels of compliance were reported throughout today.
A number of events which were organised on social media took place, but gardaí said limited numbers were in attendance. ....

The headliners for Limerick s St Patrick s Day festival have been announced.
Sharon Shannon, Hermitage Green, MuRli and Emma Langford will take to the virtual stage for the Wild Atlantic Edge concert St Patrick s night.
That afternoon, Grammy award winning musician Rhiannon Giddens will lead the Virtual St Patrick s Day Fling , which promises to be once in a lifetime unique event.
The festival, which runs from the 13th to the 20th of March, will be streamed via Limerick.ie and their social media pages.
Limerick’s young musicians will also be showcasing their talents from the Irish Chamber Orchestra’s Sing Out with Strings and the Irish Chamber Orchestra Youth Orchestra, and Music Generation Limerick City. ....
