This week’s entertainment offerings span interests from heavy machinery to bike culture. Also consider these music offerings: a streamed local jazz show, and the Portland premiere of classical pianist Jason Vieaux. And Pittock Mansion hosts an exhibit focused on a vanished Portland community.
Dozer Days
Fans of heavy machinery can drive through a working construction site, modified to keep visitors at a distance and still immerse families in an actual “construction experience” with operational machinery. The event includes public safety messaging, contests and giveaways. The drive-thru takes 25 to 35 minutes. There is no stopping inside the event, and visitors must not exit their vehicles. Masks are required for drivers who will be interacting with event volunteers during check-in. Timed tickets are required in advance. ....
