Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has been fast diversifying into the production of alternative forms of energy in recent years. As part of its strategy, the company has teamed up with Israeli start-up, Phinergy, for the development of aluminium-air (Al-air) batteries, and the partners are gearing up to soon establish their manufacturing facility. “We’ll be setting up a plant. The MoU has already been signed and, very shortly, we’ll be locating the plant in India,” said Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, chairman, IOCL, at a web conclave organised by our sister publication Autocar Professional on Meeting Emission Challenges .

Jakarta. A Japanese fishing boat and an Australian Navy ship have rescued 20 Indonesian fishermen left stranded on the sea after their fishing boat KM Bandar Nelayan 118 sank about 650 nautical miles west of Perth, Australia, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The entire crew of the KM Bandar Nelayan 188, totaling 20 Indonesian citizens, were rescued, the ministry said in the statement. The ministry said there were 26 Indonesian crew members on board, based on initial information, in an earlier statement. ....

The number of COVID-19 cases is expected to take a downward trend marking two-digit numbers, said Professor of Microbiology/Molecular Virology at the University of Nicosia Medical School, Dr. Petros Karayiannis.
