CEO Says Black Doctor Who Died From COVID-19 'Intimidated' Staff

She was diagnosed with COVID-19 on November 29 and was later admitted to the hospital. In the video, Dr. Moore was connected to an oxygen tube, barely able to speak and denied pain medication from a white physician. Dr. Moore claims the physician was downplaying her pain.
Dr. Moore was released from the hospital and had to be readmitted to a different hospital where her condition worsened. She died at the age of 52 on Sunday (December 27) from coronavirus complications.
Her death gained national attention, raising questions about the treatment she received while at the Indiana University Hospital. The hospital’s CEO, ....

Outrage is continuing to grow within the black community in the United States after a black Jamaican-born doctor in Indiana died from COVID-19 weeks after she alleged that she was denied proper care by a white doctor at a hospital because of her race.
Dr Susan Moore, a 52-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, tested positive for COVID-19 on November 29, and went to Indiana University Hospital North (IU North) because it was close to her home, according to the New York Times newspaper. ....

A black physician in Indianapolis has died with Covid-19 weeks after she accused a doctor of denying her proper medical care because of her race.
In a video from her bed at Indiana University Hospital North, Susan Moore said she had to beg for treatment.
Offering its condolences, the hospital said it took accusations of discrimination very seriously but could not comment on specific patients.
Black people are at greater risk from Covid than white people, studies show.
Dr Moore, 52, passed away at another local hospital on Sunday. ....
