BAKSA: The 24th Bn SSB Rangia successfully conducted the second phase of its Pre-Recruitment Training for the youths of the Indo-Bhutan Border area from July 12 to July 17.
The closing ceremony of the a week-long programme was held at the Kumarikata Community Hall in the presence Commandant of 24th Bn SSB, Rangia Hrishikesh Sharma, on Saturday.
This is the far-sightedness of the Central Government and the Force Headquarters of Sashastra Seema Bal, New Delhi who envisaged securing the country by enrolling educated unemployed youth of Indo-Bhutan border area into Central Armed Police Forces. The aim of this training was to encourage physically strong and educated youth of poor and backward Bodo tribals and other Tribals of Indo-Bhutan Border area for joining in Armed Police Forces and meet the necessary recruitment criteria.

The aim of the 24 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Rangia is to take the SSB to glorious heights while discharging the duties and following the motto of SSB Service Security and Brotherhood.

KOKRAJHAR: Forest department officials in Assam opened fire when a six-member was allegedly injured in an attack by a mob attempting to occupy its land in Assam.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Assam s Kokrajhar district at Goraibazar village near Indo-Bhutan Border when forest official opened fire to control the situation.
However, no casualty was reported in the firing incident.
Forest official stated that when they asked the locals to clear the forest area, they refused and attacked the team members leaving six of them injured

A video of a Bhutan cop politely requested Indian revellers at the Indo-Bhutan border to vacate the area owing to COVID-19 lockdown has gone viral on social media.
The 2-minute-and-11-second clip shows the policeman speaking in Hindi to the Indian revellers on the other side of the river. He requests them to vacate the area as it was about to get dark. He also asks them to put on their face masks and stay indoors.
