Concerned individuals of Igbaja land in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday staged a peaceful protest to the palace of the traditional ruler of the ancient town, the Elesee of Igbaja, against alleged atrocities of herdsmen to their lives and property.
The herdsmen in the Ifelodun communities were accused of being the perpetrators of incessant invading of their farms, stealing and killings, as they said that their actions have instilled fear on the Igbaja community.
One of the concerned people, Alhaji Abdulyekeen Ajibade, said that there are criminal elements among the herders in their community. ....

The Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has inaugurated the construction work of a juice production company at the Omoluabi Free Trade Zone, Osogbo.
This is just as the Governor reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business and eliminate identifiable bottlenecks that can discourage investors.

After being locked up for five years in an abandoned house at the Alfa Fire area, Ikirun in Ifelodun Local Government Area, the Osun State government in collaboration with the police have rescued 20-year-old girl identified as Opeyemi Olatoke.
It was gathered that the father, Mr Samson Olatoke, and his son locked up the victim since 2016.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo, made available to newsmen on Monday, revealed that the matter was reported to her office by an NGO; Value Female Network.
“The ministry and the police swung into action, we went to the house where the 20-year-old girl was locked up by her father. The father disclosed that he locked up the girl because she was physically challenged. The victim’s mother informed us that Opeyemi’s health started to deteriorate when she shouted from her sleep at age four and since then she was lame.” ....

Osun Govt Rescues 20-year-old Physically Challenged Woman Locked Up By Family Members For Five Years
Her father, identified as Samson Olatoke, who was alleged to have locked up her daughter and her brother, was arrested by the police.
A 20-year-old woman, Opeyemi Olatoke, who had been locked inside an abandoned house by her family members for over five years has been rescued by the Osun State government with the help of the Nigeria Police Force.
Opeyemi was rescued at her family house located at Alfa Fire area, Oke-Iba-Obaagun Road, in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
Her father, identified as Samson Olatoke, who was alleged to have locked up her daughter and her brother, was arrested by the police. ....
