Clark, currently assigned as a Bureau of Criminal Identification detective, is one of two primary crime scene investigators for the Newport Police Department.
Shortly after midnight on May 30, Clark testified he was on patrol and dispatched to the Shell gas station on Thames Street for a man reportedly bleeding. He located Julian on the corner of Lee Avenue and Thames Street, in a large pool of blood, near approximately 10 people.
One person had removed his shirt in an effort to stop the bleeding. Clark testified he located one stab wound “to the right side of his neck, behind his ear, that was bleeding heavily.” He applied pressure to the wound until a rescue wagon arrived. ....

The Reno City Council voted unanimously Wednesday to approve nearly $3 million in property tax assessments to fund the Downtown Reno Business Improvement District’s (BID) operations for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
According to Jeff Limpert, management analyst with the city manager’s office, it was the first time in the four years since the BID was formed that no written protests or objections to the assessments were submitted by the property owners which include commercial, governmental, nonprofit and private residential properties.
Recently, perennial political candidate George “Eddie” Lorton lost a petition he filed in May of 2019 for a judicial review of the City of Reno’s handling of assessments charged to property owners within the BID. Lorton had wanted his downtown property exempted from assessments, but the Second Judicial Court denied his request. ....

THIS IS RENO began seeking answers into the criminal case against former Sheriff’s Sergeant Dennis Carry more than a year ago. In that time, we were continually met with resistance from the Reno Police Department, the City of Reno, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Reno City Attorney’s Office. Those entities denied access to information and individuals involved with this case and failed to follow Nevada’s public records laws on multiple occasions. Officials would not even confirm public information or respond to simple questions. Public records, however, including the criminal complaint and affidavit filed against Carry, reveal extensive details in this case, in addition to records obtained from local courts and even records obtained in partnership with Madison365.com in Wisconsin.
