GREATER NOIDA: The driver of a trailer truck loaded with iron angles died in a freak accident on NH-91 on Tuesday when the cargo, weighing more than 30 tonnes, pierced the cabin and crushed him under its weight when he jammed the brakes to avert a collision with a private bus in front that had suddenly slowed down.
Carried by momentum, the angles on the back of the trailer lurched into the cabin just as the truck came to a grinding halt. The driver, 50-year-old Mubarak Khan, was declared dead by the time he could be extracted from the mangled cabin and rushed to a community health centre in Dadri. ....
