April 1, 2021 Ronald Clay, 30 years old, of Upper Marlboro On March 28, 2021 at approximately 12:00 p.m. troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack responded for a Disturbance and Trespassing complaint at the Super 8 Motel located on Three Notch Road, California. Upon arrival, contact was made with the manager who directed the troopers to a female in the lobby that was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. The female, identified as Laquisha Monae Young, 21 years old, of Washington DC, was escorted out of the building and issued a No Trespass Notice. The Troopers also responded to the room rented by Ms. Young and made contact with the male occupant and escorted him out of the building. Troopers attempted to identify the male so a No Trespass Notice could be issued but he gave several false names. The male attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended by assisting troopers. A search incident to arrest revealed marijuana on his person and a loaded handgun inside his waistband. The male was transported to St. Mary’s County Detention Center where another search upon entry was conducted and revealed additional Marijuana and CDS not Marijuana located on his person.

February 1, 2021 On Friday, January 29, 2021, detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Division, along with assistance from the Emergency Services Team (EST), the Special Operations Division (SOD), and personnel from the Vice Narcotics Support Team, executed a search and seizure warrant in Lexington Park. As a result, Travis Nathaniel Nelson, age 36 of Lexington Park, was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, and charged with the following: CDS Possession-Not Marijuana (two counts) Possession with Intent to Distribute-Fentanyl/Heroin CDS Manufacturing-Large Amount Nelson remains incarcerated at the detention center on a no bond status.
December 15, 2020 On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, officers responded for a burglary of a detached garage in the 7900 block of Belhaven Avenue in Pasadena. The investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the garage and was able to open the locked gun safe and removed/stole twenty firearms. The safe wasn’t pried, only the electronic keypad was lying on the floor. Eastern Detectives pursued any and all leads in developing a suspect in this case. On Friday, December 11, 2020, after investigating, the Eastern District Detectives developed a suspect and a search warrant was written and executed on December 11, 2020 in the 700 block of North Channel Drive in Glen Burnie. Evidence of the above burglary was discovered and seized. The suspect, who was already in custody, will be charged with Burglary & other related offenses.
