KHANEWAL/ABBOTTABAD: Three family members, including couple, were killed as over speeding trailer hit motorcycle on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, a 58 year old citizen namely Saleh Muhammad, resident of Mianwali, was going to Mian Channu along with his wife and daughter riding on motorcycle. When they reached near at Chak No 79/10-R a speeding trailer ran over them.
As a result, Saleh Muhammad his wife, 50 years old Kousar, and 15 years old daughter Shagufta sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies at district headquarters hospital for autopsy. ....

A meeting of the Sindh chapter of the International Police Association (IPA) was presided by IPA Sindh chapter chairman DIG Security & Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed, who welcomed the Regional Executive Committee and IPA members on Saturday.
The spokesman for the SSU said the meeting started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. The IPA members congratulated the newly elected Regional Executive Committee of the Sindh chapter and thanked the IPA members for showing confidence and voting in their favour.
The participants shared their views and suggestions for the improvement of the IPA, Pakistan. ....

A memorial to 499 Chinese gold miners whose remains were lost at sea when the SS Ventnor sank off Hokianga Harbour in 1902 and the west coast Māori who recovered the bones and buried them alongside their own people was dedicated in Ōpononi on Saturday.
