The global graft watchdog unveiled the latest CPI ranking on Thursday.
The country scored 26 out of 100 in the index on 180 countries.
In the 2019 index, Bangladesh scored same 26 points and was ranked 14th among the most corrupt countries.
Bangladesh has retained its score for the third consecutive year.
India slipped by six notches to be placed at 86th position with losing one score to 40 this time.
Bhutan, the Maldives and India are the top scorers in SA. Pakistan is one step ahead of Bangladesh is SA with 31 points.
Denmark and New Zealand shared the top position with 88 score. ....

Nigeria fell three places in the Global Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2020 to 149 out of 183 countries released today by Transparency International.
Published exclusively in Nigeria by the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), the National Chapter of TI, the index reveals that Nigeria scored 25 out of 100 points in the 2020 CPI, falling back by one point compared to last year.
The CPI aggregates data from eight different sources that provide perceptions by Nigeria’s business community and country experts on the level of corruption in the public sector. While the index does not show specific incidences of corruption, it is an indication of the perception of the Nigerian public about the state of corruption in the country. ....

Bangladesh has slipped two places in the Global Corruption Perception Index 2020 released by the Transparency International (TI) and is ahead only of Afghanistan in tackling graft among its South Asian neighbours.
The index by the Berlin-based organization for last year was released by its Bangladesh chapter, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), on Thursday.
Bangladesh is positioned at 146 among 180 countries in the latest rankings.
The CPI uses a scale of 0 to 100, which means 100 is very clean and 0 is most corrupt. Bangladesh s score in the latest index is 26. ....
