A crazy tradie has been photographed surfing a massive crocodile in the river after the mammoth beast was spotted floating next to his boat.
The barefoot man, wearing a high-vis top, had managed to tie a rope around the crocodile s top jaw and was using that thin rope to balance himself.
His friends could be seen in the photo, floating nearby in the small tinnie.
The photo went viral on Reddit, with dozens of commenters joking about the insane Australian picture. ....

Animal rights organisation PETA has criticised an Australian man for an image that appeared to show him surfing on top of a giant crocodile.
The picture, which was captioned the Most Aussie photo I have was uploaded to Reddit on May 16, but has been removed from the site just 24 hours later.
Screenshots saved from Reddit and posted on several other social media sites showed a barefoot man standing on top of a crocodile while wearing a high-vis jacket.
The photo showed the man holding one end of a rope in his hand with the other tied to the crocodile s jaw, as his friends were situated in a boat nearby. ....

California High Schooler Wins Surfing Competitions on Tricolor Longboard

Los Angeles area high schooler Emily Rose Flavin, 17, is an award-winning amateur competitive surfer in both short and longboard. This summer 2017 she won three longboard championships, all while riding her trademark green, white, and orange Irish tricolor board. Emily is fourth-generation Irish American with roots in Cork and Tipperary.
“I wear a lot of sunscreen,” she jokes about her heritage, adding, “My Irish temper helps me when I am competing. Ireland is surrounded by water and I basically live in the water, so I feel connected to that aspect as well.” Emily hasn’t been to Ireland yet, but has plans with her father to tour the country within the next two years and make a documentary about Ireland’s connection to surfing culture. ....

When the news broke that Taj Burrow was going to slip into a jersey again, pro surfing fans were excited. Burrow is a legend, and his retirement from the tour was a blow. He spent nearly two decades going around the world as a competitor and had one of the most celebrated careers in surfing. For any grom, Taj was inspirational. So when Griffin Colapinto and Jack Freestone came up against him at the Rottnest event, it likely was a wild experience.
“Taj Burrow has made a huge contribution to the sport of surfing,” said WSL Commissioner, Kieren Perrow after Burrow’s retirement. “He is a surfer who inspired generations and sparked an approach that has raised the level of performance surfing in competition to unprecedented levels. The WSL is extremely fortunate to have had Taj on tour for nearly two decades and we wish him all the best in the next chapter ....
