Progress of the ACT Government’s plan Equity Together to improve gender equality is on track with one action complete and 27 actions underway one year on since its launch in March 2020.
The first action complete is tenancy reforms to improve housing security, accessibility and fairness for tenants.
These reforms better meet the needs of victims of domestic and family violence, including issues of economic control and allow tenants to terminate a tenancy to move into social housing or aged care.
Despite 2020 having significant challenges, over the past 12 months the government together with the community, has shown an ongoing commitment to the delivery of all 29 actions under this plan. ....
