An exciting exhibition is being planned in the capital city in which an antique enthusiast has decided to put up rare nineteenth-century European furniture in Muscat.
In all likelihood, the exhibition will take place on May 20, depending upon pandemic protocols and permissions from the competent authorities.
The exhibitor Rosemary Whelan said Richwood Antiques is organizing the exhibition in association with Art and Soul Gallery. The event venue is Water-Front Mall, Muscat.
“As I said, we have planned the exhibition from 7 pm onwards from May 20 to June 6 depending upon the directives of the Supreme Committee on Covid-19. This would certainly be an opportunity to have a glimpse of 19th-century European furniture collection mainly from UK, France, Italy, and Ireland,” said Rosemary Whelan. ....

Weldon is the owner of Courtville, a shop that sells antique and vintage jewellery. At 31, he’s by far the youngest member of the Irish Antique Dealers Association (IADA). He’s also at the epicentre of a perfect storm: antique jewellery, once perceived as quirky and niche, is currently trending.

The donations came in thick and fast and by Sunday night, the target was reached.
College head teacher Thomas Usher said he is delighted with the response and hopes the initiative can be replicated in other schools where students come from disadvantaged backgrounds and cannot afford laptops. ....
