Suring trustee faces new charge over child sex assault 13 years ago Green Bay Press-Gazette OCONTO - A Suring village trustee, accused last week of sexually assaulting a teen over a five-year period, was charged Monday with the sexual assault of a teen in 2008. The victim told a deputy on March 12 that she was 14 when she met John Fredenburgh, who at the time lived at the same apartment building in the town of Wabeno as her best friend. According to the criminal complaint, the two began communicating online and later through texts, and he eventually proposed meeting her for sex. The girl said she went to stay with a relative in the town of Lakewood, then left after everyone else was asleep. They met up and Fredenburgh drove her to a remote road, where the assault occurred. He then dropped her off where he picked her up. ....
OCONTO – A Green Bay man is accused of leading police officers over a 30-mile, high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle from Oconto to a Howard supermarket. The chase began about 9:35 p.m. on Jan. 30, after Oconto Police Officer Brad Shearer came upon a westbound car that had stopped for extended period of time at the intersection of Doran Street and Pine Avenue at the south edge of the city. After the vehicle turned north onto Pine Avenue and pulled into a driveway, Shearer learned from a records check that car had been reported stolen in Green Bay and activated his lights and siren. ....

Logan D. Race, 17, is charged with assault with intent to murder and being in possession of a firearm during a felony over the Dec. 28 incident. A second Oconto teen, who was 14 at the time but since turned 15, faces the same charges, but his extradition to Michigan is pending, said Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg. At the arraignment hearing on Wednesday, 95-A District Court Judge Robert Jamo formally advised Race of the charges, entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, and appointed attorney Joe Klumb to represent Race in Michigan, Rogg said. ....
