Oconto teen appears in Michigan court on attempted homicide charge

MENOMINEE, Mich. - An Oconto teen accused of shooting a man during a drug deal made his first appearance in court Wednesday.
Logan D. Race, 17, is charged with assault with intent to murder and being in possession of a firearm during a felony over the Dec. 28 incident. 
A second Oconto teen, who was 14 at the time but since turned 15, faces the same charges, but his extradition to Michigan is pending, said Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg.
At the arraignment hearing on Wednesday, 95-A District Court Judge Robert Jamo formally advised Race of the charges, entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, and appointed attorney Joe Klumb to represent Race in Michigan, Rogg said. ....
