COVID-19: Vaccine Allocation

About the Guidelines
The State of Alaska is using a phased approach to allocate the initial limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine to Alaskans. At the national level, allocation recommendations are being made by the Centers for Disease Control’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). To suitably adapt the ACIP recommendations for Alaska, the COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force, in cooperation with the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association, convened the Alaska Vaccine Allocation Advisory Committee(AVAAC). The recommendations from the AVAAC apply only to the management of Alaska’s COVID-19 vaccine allocation. This process does not apply to Indian Health Service, Veterans Affairs, and Department of Defense allocations. ....

Nevada County Vaccine Update: State revises vaccine eligibility
Feb 5. Today the State of California released a revised system for vaccine eligibility. Nevada County Public Health continues to follow the guidelines for vaccine eligibility as defined by the State of California.
We continue to received a very limited supply of vaccine, with an average of 1,850 doses a week. This total includes both first and second doses. Although the state has increased vaccine eligibility, access locally remains dependent of vaccine supply. And that supply from the state remains very limited. With the revisions below, we estimate that there are now 40,000 people who fit in to Phase 1B. This is in addition to the 7,000 in Phase 1A.  ....

Monadnock Ledger-Transcript - Registering for coronavirus vaccine brings frustration

Published: 2/3/2021 8:01:57 AM
In the week since registration opened for Phase 1B of the COVID-19 vaccine in New Hampshire, residents of the Monadnock region have experienced mixed results in the process.
For some, getting an appointment for their first shot of the vaccine was relatively smooth, resulting in a scheduled date and time within 24 hours of the registration opening on Jan. 22. For others, like Lois Walen of Rindge, it was a week-long ordeal filled with frustration, long wait times and an online system that just didn’t work for her.
“It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get an appointment,” Walen said on Friday. “It has taken me an entire week. I have called so many numbers I can’t even tell you.” ....
