ALYN and Deeside MP Mark Tami has urged union members to vote for a deal which could save jobs at at Airbus in Broughton. The Leader reported earlier this week how Unite members working at the plant were set to be balloted on a plan to move to a shorter working week. Negotiated between Unite and Airbus, the plan will see a reduction in the working week of five to ten per cent for a short period of time. If agreed, it will remove the possibility of compulsory redundancies and provide a roadmap to a resumption of full time working and a way out of the COVID-19 crisis.
