The World Music Day is celebrated on the twenty first of June. If one is not mistaken, the first of October is the United Nations International Music Day. This year, the World Music Day has been like no other even if we take into consideration the impact of the pandemic. Last year, most people had hoped that it might blow away without leaving any permanent scars. However, as the months dragged by, it became more of an endurance test than the sanguinity of declaring victory after a brief battle.

Coswara, the sound-based covid-19 diagnostic tool that the
Indian Institute of Science researchers have been working on to detect the presence of the virus based on respiratory, cough and speech sounds have noted that the virus is indeed behaving differently in the second wave.
This was based on samples collected from people in the exposed
category (health workers) and un-exposed category, in two time periods - before March 2021 and after March 2021.
As per the
data collected by the team during two timelines, people who were exposed in the post-March period had scores that aligned with covid positive (meaning there were signs that they were positive) whereas the data collected from the unexposed category said that they were not affected by the virus. ....
