Coal India incorporates 2 subsidiaries

The state-run coal major has incorporated two wholly-owned subsidiaries, CIL Solar PV, for manufacturing of solar value chain (ingot-wafer-cell module) and CIL Navikarniya Urja for renewable energy on date.
Coal India is a coal mining company engaged in the production and sale of coal. As of 31 March 2021, the Government of India held 66.13% stake in the company.
The PSU miner posted a 21.4% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,084.10 crore on 0.7% increase in net sales to Rs 21,708.27 crore in Q3 FY21 over Q3 FY20.
Shares of Coal India slipped 2.35% to Rs 124.80 on BSE. The stock hovered in the range of Rs 123.45 to Rs 126.20 so far. ....

Borosil Renewables said that the government s recent decision to impose a countervailing duty and a basic customs duty on certain import items will benefit the company.The Ministry of Finance (MOE), Government of India, has imposed a countervailing duty ranging from 9.71% to 10.14 of cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) value for a period of 5 years, on imports of textured tempered coated or uncoated solar glass from Malaysia or of which origin is in Malaysia and exported from some other country or of which origin is some other country and exported from Malaysia.

Oregon State University research shows that farm-operated solar arrays could provide 20% of the country s energy needs.
A study by Oregon State University researchers has determined that working farms that also host solar facilities could satisfy 20% of the future electricity demand in the United States, all at a cost that is a fraction of the country s annual budget.
Solar photovoltaic power generation in concert with agriculture, termed agrivoltaics by the researchers, could also lead to a reduction of 330,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions the equivalent of removing 75,000 cars from the road each year and create up to 100,000 jobs in rural communities, all while having a minimal impact on crop yield. ....
